Katie Kennedy PhD, ASCP (MB)

Senior Scientist

Katie is a scientist with a love of startup companies and product development. She received her BSc in Molecular Genetic Technology from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer center in 2009 and moved to North Carolina to start her career. In 2012, she was able to pursue her Ph.D. in the Breen lab and North Carolina State University, and during this time, had the opportunity to develop an assay that would later be distributed through an NCSU Startup – Sentinel Biomedical. Her postdoctoral research was a continuation of her Ph.D. work and was split between NCSU and Sentinel Biomedical.

Having a developed a love of both the product development pipeline and start-up companies, Katie joined BioSkryb as a Senior Scientist ins 2020.

In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
