Victor Weigman, PhD

A North Carolina native, Vic did his undergraduate in Biochemistry and obtained his Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina in Biology and Bioinformatics within the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Prior to coming to BioSkryb, Vic was Director, Translational Genomics at Q2 Solutions, responsible for Bioinformatics, Analytics and Product Development. Ongoing research in genomics revolves around: profiling of cancer, immune-oncology, infectious disease stratification and powering multi-omic genomic insights.
Dr. Weigman brings more than 16 years of biomarker discovery research within genomics. He has published papers on biomarker identification and assay development and has contributed to the development and launch of several genomic lab-developed tests and Companion Diagnostics. He is currently serving within the Friends of Cancer Research’s TMB Working Group to better define complex biomarkers’ use in clinical testing and treatment-based decisions.
