Field Application Scientist
Xinyan (pronounced She-anne) is originally from China where she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in the life science discipline. She moved to the United States in 2003 to pursue her PhD in Plant Pathology with Molecular Biology emphasis at Kansas State University. Her Postdoctoral research at Stanford University and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign were focused on Innate Immunity and Host-Microbe Interactions. She switched her career to applied genomics and next generation sequencing in 2016 and joined BioSkryb as a Field Application Scientist in 2020.
In her spare time, Xinyan enjoys running, meditating, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children. She is also a fan of juggling.
